Looooookout!!! Sox still on Roll- Week 4

Welcome Back Detroit!! Unreal!! That is all I have to say after watching the Solar Sox these past two weeks. The amount of runs we are scoring, and the quality pitching we have put up is “Out of this World”. The good news is- A big part of that production has been coming from your Tigers players. No “Sugar Coating,” here either fans. Check the box scores on this one. As a relief pitcher we are prone to sitting out in the bullpen and watching games until it is our turn to rev it up. I can’t tell you how many times, that I personally, have looked up and seen a “10 spot”( baseball lingo “meaning 10 runs”) on the scoreboard within the first few innings of the game. Are hitters absolutely “rake.” In the past two weeks I have already seen two cycles, and at times, feel as if I’m at a “Homerun Derby,” more or less than a AFL game. However, not only our hitting but our pitching has been getting it done as well. As are 3.92 team e.r.a. currently leads all AFL pitching staffs.

I can’t really explain what is happening with this team. But we are truly meshing as we still are holding down 1rst place with a 14-6 record. That sums up week 4. Another amazing week for the Solar Sox. Shortly after this blog I will be updating you with your “Tigers,” stats. I look forward to your comments and questions.

    Dear Zach,

You guys just can’t get rid of Perio. You guys are just going to have to beat them when you play them. Casey has been pitching great in relief. Your era has gone down very very nicely. Jeff and Casper just keep hitting. Where has Will been the last couple of games? Let Marte he has an article written about him and the rest of the team on the Tigers web site. Keep up the good work. I know that it’s being watched by the powers to be.

Thanks for the update, Swig. I’ve been following the Solar Sox and our Nephew (Cap Wells) on MiLB Comcast this Fall. The Solar Sox have one heavy hitting lineup!

Does anyone have an update on Casper? I’ve saw that he was lifted from 1B in the 8th inning a few games back and hasn’t appeared in the Lineup since. He was HBP twice in that game and I suspect he’s been “dinged up”. Hopefully no broken bones.

Everything is good with Casper- He was just battling some hip issues, and they are just trying to keep him as healthy as possible. He has been good for us all AFL and should return to the lineup within the next few days.

    Zach,
Don’t get to down hardened about the loss. It’s like you didn’t get much help in the fielding department. How is Morrison? He looked good when we were down there. I think that Jeff will do a good job next year at third base. Keep up the good work.

Bill, Thanks for writing in so much. No worries about today either!! haha:) Larish has been picking me up with great plays all AFL so Im not sweating it. The Tigers asked me to come down here and work on my fastball command and I feel like its getting a lot better. I kind of put my slider on the shelf and have been primarily focusing on the heater. Thats why fans probably aren’t seeing the usual strikeouts from me. Tell them not to stress- it will be back come spring training and the K’s along with it:). Just trying to work some kinks out to get myself prepared for Spring Training and put myself in the best possible spot to make it to Detroit next year. Thanks for being such a loyal fan- Oh and Morrison is an absolute studdd!!! The kid is the real deal.

    Zach,

I would like to tell you that I thought all of you guys were very nice to me and when I played ball ( a long time ago ) i like it when people took an interest in me.

What happened today? Everyone have a hole in thier bats? Thats a lot of strikeouts.

All of you keep up the good work. The papers are saying that the Tigers are going to be looking from within for help and that they have a real good groups (i hope you guys)coming up to help the big club no later than 2010.

    BIll
